Vietnamese stocks performance

Vietnamese shares did not change much this month. Investors remained cautious about the market’s prospects. Many investors just stood by and watched the market move. On the economic side, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said Vietnam experienced another year of strong growth in 2018 (GDP expanded by 7.08%) although a weaker external environment could affect its growth outlook for this year and next. The ADB has forecast Vietnam’s economy to grow by 6.8% in 2019 and 6.7% in 2020, according to its latest report released at the start of the month of April. Over the month, Hanoi index is stable while Ho Chi Minh index is down by 0.2%. Our reference portfolio is up by 1.7%. Anh Thomas returns over the long run are impressive.
