Odean (Odean, T. (1999), (“Do Investors Trade too Much?" American Economic Review) analyzed the trading records of 10,000 investors over a period of 6 years and found that individual investors with discount brokerage accounts tend to under-perform notably because they trade too much, they struggle to evaluate securities, they have a strong tendency to overreact to financial news and finally have a reluctance to sell short. All these statements are even more true in emerging markets like Vietnam but with Anh Thomas Investment help, individual investors can perform in line or even over-perform the indexes.
